Learning a new language can seem like an impossible task, as a starter we will hold your hands and walk you through the journey of becoming a fluent Yoruba language speaker.

This is a basic introductory language acquisition module for absolute beginners in the written and spoken language; students are not assumed to have any previous knowledge of the language. The Beginners’ module covers  several basic constructions of the language, enabling students to acquire basic skills in reading, writing, comprehension and speaking. Successful students will gain the ability to read and write short simple texts, and communicate on simple everyday topics. 

Course Modules

Basic Yoruba Language Course – Level 1
This course is thoughtfully curated for those that are absolute novices when it comes to speaking and understanding Yoruba language. You can’t speak and you don’t understand or you can’t speak but you have a faint idea, this course is for you!

Basic Yoruba Language Course – Level 2
This course is for those who have previously attended our Level 1 course or any of our foundational classes. Those that are yet to go through any of our courses are required to go through our assessment session to determine their eligibility to register for the Level 4 course.

Basic Yoruba Language Course – Level 3
Everyone that has gone through our Level 2 course are welcome to register for the Level 3 course. Those that are yet to go through any of our courses are required to go through our assessment session to determine their eligibility to register for the Level 3 course.

Basic Yoruba Language Course – Level 4
The Level 4 course is for those who has previously attended our Level 3 course. Those that are yet to go through any of our courses are required to go through our assessment session to determine their eligibility to register for the Level 4 course.
